What is mental disorder?

They manifest as alterations in the processes of reasoning , behavior , the ability to recognize reality , emotions or relationships with others, considered abnormal with respect to the social group of reference from which the individual comes.

In this context, it is interesting to note that a mental illness is one that occurs as a result of an alteration that affects the affective and cognitive procedures of development.
